How can I record calls with Truecaller on Android

Truecaller is currently rolling out a new call recording feature to devices to allow you to record calls using Android without the need for additional applications. The rollout is currently taking place in stages and may take time to arrive on your phone. If this feature is already available for your Android phone, then follow these steps.

  1. You can grant access permissions to Truecaller Recording on your device by visiting the Settings > Accessibility on your device.
  2. Tap the record button on your Caller ID display once the call comes in or when you initiate a new phone call to record the audio.

If you’d like to deactivate the recording feature on your phone you can access the menu on the side and press the hamburger menu located in the upper left part of the Truecaller application, then tap Call Recordings, and then disable the ‘Call recording option.

It is important to note that Truecaller will save the calls you record on your phone’s storage. This means that you are able to access previous recordings in the future, without having access to an Internet connection.

You can retrieve recordings you made previously by visiting your Call Recordings setting on the Truecaller application. You can also send them to those you know or keep them to Google Drive. Call recording files can be easily accessible via Google Drive, the file manager default application for your mobile.
